Meeting with Lviv City Mayor to support rehabilitation projects
Today, the founders of the charitable foundation Angels for Ukraine met with the Mayor of Lviv, Andrii Sadovyi. Since the first days of the full-scale invasion, our foundation has been assisting Ukrainian displaced persons, some of whom require medical assistance. That is why the founders are looking for ways in which the fund can be useful in developing the UNBREAKABLE rehabilitation ecosystem.
During the meeting, the Mayor of Lviv presented the project, its goals, and plans. He told them about what has already been done and what all the specialists of this rehabilitation system are currently actively working on.
“Most of the people we helped evacuate from the combat zones stopped in Lviv. Among these people were hundreds of Ukrainians with amputated limbs. We are interested in the UNBREAKABLE project, which is being developed in Lviv, we want to see their work. We want to support it. We can, through our organization, help bring Ukrainians from other regions to Lviv if they need qualified assistance at this rehabilitation center.
Today, I met with the Mayor of Lviv for the first time, because it was important for us to discuss this project with him and learn more about the work the city is doing in the direction of medical assistance. UNBREAKABLE is a wonderful project that helps people right away,” said Brooks Newmark.
“You are very brave people, because many Europeans are afraid to come to Ukraine. I am very glad that I had the opportunity to meet with you, because I believe that we will be able to cooperate. As part of the UNBREAKABLE project, we have already created a small workshop that makes prostheses, but its capacity is insufficient, because thousands of Ukrainians already need prosthetic care. If you help us expand this workshop and involve partners in this, it will be the best gift for Ukrainians, for their future fulfilling life,” emphasized Andrii Sadovyi, the Mayor of Lviv.
