the bombshelter at Sumy's specialized school

Making children’s education process safer

The repair work on the bombshelter at Sumy’s specialized school for children with special educational needs has ended.

Today, the premises for safety, with a total area of about 170 square meters, are ready before the beginning of the study year. The bombshelter was upgraded with the new ventilation system, which is installed in compliance with all technical requirements. The floor has undergone a major repair. Also, the premises received new wiring, a Wi-fi router, and a radio to stay updated with information from the emergency services during the Air Raid Alarm. After the repairs, the bombshelter is ready to serve children and school personnel in an emergency situation, such as Air Raid Alarms.

This project is implemented with support from children and parents of the Ukrainian Catholic School named after Cardinal Yosyp Slipy (Toronto, Canada) and the All-Ukrainian League of Ukrainian Women. We are glad that we could contribute to its successful completion.
