Forum of Communities

Forum of Communities of Kyiv Oblast

A Forum of Communities has been launched in the Kyiv region—an innovative platform that brings together ideas, experiences, and ambitions to foster regional development. The event was inaugurated by Mykola Kalashnyk, Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, alongside Hennadiy Chyzhykov, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, and Vitalii Rusanov, Head of the Kyiv Regional Development Agency.

The forum featured panel discussions, speeches by leading experts, presentations of successful cases, and networking opportunities designed to strengthen cooperation among communities. Representatives from all 69 communities of the Kyiv region, local businesses, embassies from several countries, and international organizations joined the discussions. Vladyslav Shelokov, the President of Angels for Ukraine, actively participated in this networking event by communicating with potential partners from donor organizations and local communities, further enhancing the collaborative spirit of the forum.

“Our region is a fusion of strong economic potential, a strategic geographical location, and talented people. Kyiv remains one of the most investment-attractive regions, ranking third in foreign direct investment volume among Ukrainian regions, with investments amounting to $2.5 billion. Sectors such as machinery, food industry, energy, agriculture, construction, transport, and logistics hold promising opportunities for further investment,” highlighted Mykola Kalashnyk.

Since the beginning of the year, significant developments have taken place, including the expansion of the logistics hub of Rhenus Freight Logistics in Obukhiv—the largest agrochemical storage facility in Ukraine and Europe. Finnish company International Burger Group has opened a frozen burger production plant in Boryspil, and Peikko Group Corporation has initiated a facility producing concrete connections and composite structures at the Bila Tserkva Industrial Park. These projects are not only creating new job opportunities but are also substantially boosting local and national budgets.

“I firmly believe that every community in the Kyiv region possesses its own strengths, unique advantages, and competitive capabilities that can lay the foundation for successful projects. This forum serves not only as a presentation of investment opportunities but also as a platform for dialogue, experience sharing, and the development of joint solutions. I am confident that together we can make Kyiv even more attractive for investments, ensure the sustainable development of our communities, and improve the well-being of our residents,” emphasized the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
