This week, Angels for Ukraine delivered a new shipment of shaving supplies to Konotop City Hospital in Sumska Oblast—an initiative aimed at supporting low-income and vulnerable patients who often lack access to basic personal care items.

For many individuals undergoing treatment or long hospital stays, maintaining personal hygiene can be difficult, especially when financial hardship has become widespread due to the war. Shaving supplies, though small, directly impact patients’ comfort, sense of dignity, and emotional well‑being. By helping them feel clean and cared for, we are helping them feel human again during one of the harshest periods in Ukraine’s modern history.

Caring for Vulnerable Communities in Sumska Oblast

Sumska Oblast, situated along the northeastern border, continues to face the consequences of repeated attacks, economic strain, and displaced populations. Low-income families, elderly residents, and people with chronic medical needs are among the most affected. Hospitals in frontline-adjacent regions must stretch limited resources while still providing quality care to all who enter their doors.

Our support helps fill the gaps.

The donated shaving items—including razors and shaving gel—are now being distributed to 60 patients who need them most at Konotop City Hospital. These supplies ensure that individuals who may have lost their homes, livelihoods, or support networks can still maintain basic self-care during their recovery.
