Supporting People with Visual Impairments

The Lviv Regional Organization of the Ukrainian Society of the Blind (UTOS) provides vital support to more than 1,700 individuals with visual impairments—both those who have completely lost their sight and those with severe vision problems.

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by this community, Angels for Ukraine responded to a request from the organization, committing to assist visually impaired individuals who are classified as low-income. Special attention was given to internally displaced persons (IDPs) residing in Lviv Oblast, who have been particularly affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Thanks to the generous support of our donor, Angels for Ukraine was able to distribute 1,200 bottles of Pantene shampoo (400 ml each). These essential hygiene products were allocated to 600 of the most vulnerable members of the Lviv Regional Organization of the Blind, ensuring that they receive the care and dignity they deserve.

This initiative underscores the importance of targeted humanitarian aid, addressing both immediate needs and the broader well-being of individuals facing compounded challenges. By prioritizing those most in need—including displaced persons—Angels for Ukraine continues to uphold its mission of providing meaningful assistance and fostering resilience within Ukrainian communities.

Through collaboration with corporate partners and local organizations, Angels for Ukraine remains committed to supporting vulnerable populations, ensuring that dignity and care remain at the heart of humanitarian efforts.
