Restoring Dignity through Care
In the heart of Chernihiv Oblast, the Krutivska community—a collective of 14 villages—stands as a testament to resilience. Home to 3,120 residents, this community continues to endure the compounding challenges of war, displacement, and socio-economic hardship. Among its population are 1,062 elderly individuals, including 179 with disabilities. Ninety-six of the elderly live alone, relying on the commitment of just nine social workers for care and companionship.
The community is also home to 52 war veterans and eight families living with individuals who have mental health conditions. Vulnerability in Krutivska wears many faces: – 29 large families – 11 children with disabilities – 35 low-income households – 3 children deprived of parental care – 8 children in difficult life circumstances – 17 single mothers.
Thanks to the generous support of our donor, the Angels for Ukraine Charity Foundation delivered 538 essential hygiene items, which were distributed across the most vulnerable segments of the population. In total, 480 people received support, including 150 children.
This initiative was more than the delivery of goods—it was a message that no one is forgotten. Every hygiene item helped restore a sense of dignity and comfort for people living through extraordinary hardship. For many, it brought the reassurance that someone still cares.
At Angels for Ukraine, we believe that compassion must be practical—and that every act of care, no matter how small, builds the foundation for long-term resilience.
