Support and Smiles Visited Ponornytska Community
On May 30, the Ponornytska village community of Chernihiv Oblast gathered for a celebration filled with laughter, hope, and generosity. In honor of International Children’s Day, local volunteers—supported by the community administration and the Angels for Ukraine Charity Foundation—organized a special event that combined joy with much-needed humanitarian aid.
During the festivities, hygiene items were distributed to vulnerable residents, ensuring that families facing hardship and children from low-income households received essential supplies to maintain health and dignity.
The event was more than just a distribution drive—it was a reminder that every act of kindness strengthens a community.
A Celebration for Children
The organizers ensured that children were at the heart of the occasion. Alongside the donation efforts, games, performances, and creative activities filled the village square. Young participants enjoyed puppet shows, face painting, and interactive workshops designed to uplift their spirits. For many, these moments of fun provided a much-needed break from the challenges of daily life.
The success of this initiative was made possible through strong collaboration between our charity foundation, volunteers, and the hromada administration. Community leaders played a crucial role in identifying households most in need and ensuring smooth logistics for the distribution. The partnership between charitable organizations and local governance continues to demonstrate that collective action can bring tangible change.
